Not everybody gets here and wants to (or is able to) go out shopping for supplies straight away. You may expect to arrive late (or tired). And don't forget that although nearby Chateaurenard has its market and a few bakers will be open on Sunday morning, Sunday is very much still a day of rest in France and not many shops will be open!

We always ensure that each kitchen has a basic stock of salt, pepper, olive oil and cleaning products for each guest's arrival and we usually leave a small stock of tea, coffee, sugar and milk. But we also offer the option that we'll get a few basic supplies in for you in advance and have your kitchen fully set up for your arrival.

We charge the cost of your supplies, plus a small additional charge for our time - the price for this, as everything else, is on this year's price list. Obviously, if you wish to take advantage of this service, we'll need some notice, so please let us know well in advance of your arrival.

A standard suggested starter pack consisting of enough to set you up for your first morning consists of:

  • 1 loaf of bread
  • 2 packets of breakfast cereal (muesli and Corn Flakes unless otherwise specified)
  • 1l orange juice (other flavours if specified)
  • 1l milk
  • Packet of butter
  • Packet of coffee
  • Packet of tea bags
  • Fresh fruit
  • Jam - homemade if you’re lucky!

Add and subtract to the list as you wish, it's just there as a guide.

If you need wine, we can get you a 5 litre box of either of our house wines (a full-bodied, rustic, fruity Côtes du Rhône red and a bright, crisp Rosé) at a very reasonable price. In this case we need at least a week's notice as we only get to see our wine man on Tuesdays.

And finally, if you envisage arriving late, you might also wish to consider having a light meal prepared in readiness for your arrival - see Arrival Meals.
